I've been a fan of scrap quilts ever since I began quilting. In fact, at first I thought all quilts were scrap quilts! Joan Ford of Scraptherapy has some of the best quilting books. Here's my review of two of them - "Scraps Plus One!" and "The Versatile Nine Patch".
These are two of the best "how to quilt" books that I have found. I couldn't decide which one I like best, so I'm recommending them both. The first one is All Things Quilting by Alex Anderson and the second is First-Time Quiltmaking by Landauer Publishing. Both books are great beginners' guides to quilting and both are good reference books for quilters of all levels of expertise.
Today I'm doing something different. This book - Border to BorderHistoric Quilts and Quiltmakers of Montana by Annie Hanshew - was given to me by a dear friend and I'm absolutely in love with it. History and quilts - what's not to love!
