Wow! It's the week of Thanksgiving! How did that happen? I don't have the next tutorial finished yet but wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and show what I've been sewing and what I've got lined up for sewing before Christmas. Maybe you'll get some last minute inspiration!
Today I thought I'd share some tips for sewing an accurate quarter inch seam allowance when piecing your quilt blocks. There are several things that can affect your seam allowance and we'll go through a few of them.
These are two of the best "how to quilt" books that I have found. I couldn't decide which one I like best, so I'm recommending them both. The first one is All Things Quilting by Alex Anderson and the second is First-Time Quiltmaking by Landauer Publishing. Both books are great beginners' guides to quilting and both are good reference books for quilters of all levels of expertise.
