Face Masks/N95 Covers Tutorials

I've come across several tutorials for making face masks/N95 covers that I wanted to share with you. If your local hospitals/agencies are in need of face masks (check with them first), here's a way to help. You could also make them for yourself or loved ones as needed.

Here's an easy one with a nice video tutorial. https://www.deaconess.com/How-to-make-a-Face-Mask

A good friend tells me this is one that Lubbock, TX hospitals are asking people to make. https://www.instructables.com/id/AB-Mask-for-a-Nurse-by-a-Nurse/

Also, if you are in the Washington state area, Providence has a program. You can learn more and sign up at https://www.providence.org/lp/100m-masks

I think this is the easiest one to make and it has a pocket for inserting a filter plus it fits around the nose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDt02kUpP9Q&fbclid=IwAR1heFUvDpDLP7c-8CQxwnENTOZNMGS0qJEeC-W4lnpU4ancxQExg6722t8

In light of the unavailability of 1/4" elastic, fabric ties can be made instead. Make the ties about 20" long so that there's plenty of tie to make a bow.

I encourage you to check with your local quilt shops and fabric stores, quilt guilds, health agencies, etc. to see if they need face masks/N95 covers.

We are all in this together!

Elaine
